Our Financial Solutions Life and Health team in Zurich plans to further grow business in the field of asset protection. The portfolio comprises:

• Structured reinsurance solutions based on state-of-the-art financial engineering techniques and using financial market instruments
• Risk-taking and transformation in areas where reinsurance capacity is not available
• Solutions in the area of corporate finance
• Reinsurance solutions providing guarantees for financial market investments given to policyholders, in particular for “variable annuities” or “unit-linked products with guarantees”

For variable annuities, we reinsure various kinds of guaranteed minimum benefits. Our aim is to cover all risks incorporated in those policies (financial market risks, biometric risks and policyholder behaviour risks). And to ensure that the reinsurance solution can be realised, we provide the necessary support during the product development phase.
